Callmeconfusion

A day earlier, Lestrade had called them for Sherlock's input on the case. There was a group of thugs that had been breaking into seemingly unrelated people's homes, trashing the place, but taking nothing and hurting no one. Sherlock was less than intrigued by the case, something about it being "less than an eight", and sent John to the most recent crime scene to gather more information. Obviously, John went despite not wanting to. The actual break-in happened a week before, and there weren't any police left at the scene, aside from Lestrade who let John in. John talked to Lestrade, looked around a bit, and texted Sherlock things of interest.
